HEMSI’s Wheelchair Express is a personalized wheelchair ride assistance program that provides total care from pickup to destination.
With Wheelchair Express, each patron will receive individualized care that is customized to his or her specific needs.
The EMT will provide assistance from bed to wheelchair, home to the van, and wheelchair to bed – whatever the patron requires.
Wheelchair Express goes beyond traditional wheelchair assistance programs with exceptional personal care:
- Service inside to inside – residence to destination and vice versa.
- Accommodations for a companion to ride.
- All transportation service provided by licensed EMTs.
- Appointments are flexible – 1–way or 2–way.
- Individual or shared rides.
Wheelchair Express is ideal for transportation for:
- Medical appointments
- Out-patient surgery
- Dialysis services
- Hospital discharge
- Physical therapy
