With the highest call volume in the region, HEMSI is always looking for qualified employees. We currently employ over 200 full-and part-time employees who stay busy with the 125 calls we receive each day. We offer an abundance of opportunities for EMTs and Paramedics to sharpen their skills while implementing their trade. We offer extensive training and physical testing to prepare our employees for the life threatening challenges we endure daily.

HEMSI medical emt jobs

To enable our employees to perform at their best, we provide our team with cutting edge equipment that is among the best in the region.  Our fleet consists of 37 ambulances and approximately 20 support vehicles to ensure our patients and staff the most efficient experience possible. Also, to give a “real time” link with dispatch information and map sharing we are currently deploying mobile data terminals (MDT) units in our ambulances.

We hire both EMTs and Paramedics; however, Paramedics are in demand and may be eligible for a sign on bonus. Both are encouraged to apply. Field employees must have a license from the Alabama Department of Public Health.
